Photoshopping people

So I was thinking today... I've always worked on photoshopping girls. There is something about working with girls that's different than with guys. I've noticed there aren't any tutorials on photoshopping guys, only girls. Do female photoshoppers also work on girls? Are there any tutorials on making guys look more handsome? Just wondering what your thoughts are.

The principles underlying remain the same. Its really about knowing what keys to press in Photoshop ;)

Well I guess you would have to be a chick or gay to see if a guy looked handsome so that's probably your answer.

yeah the whole concept of it is the same. knowing how to do it is the same. but the fact that is a female might make your styling of it different than guys.

This sort of thing falls more under the category of design theory and knowing how to apply it when, rather than knowing what to do in photoshop.

it's a very interesting question though.


also maybe the reason why a lot of designers work with pics of girls rather than guys is that a lot of designers are straight males who'd rather stare at a screen with a hot chick on it than a guy with no shirt... lol

i think a guy can tell if another guy is good-looking or not, he just doesn't want to admit that because he thinks he'll sound gay. granted, some girls do have weird taste too...

But in all seriousness I am neither gay nor a homophobe. I have a friend who is gay and I am totally cool with it, but I still think it's wierd to stare at a guy with no shirt for hours.
