I am using images on the web. Problem is that when I include text with the graphic - i.e. towns on a map - and save to web or as a jpeg, the text is blurred. I have3 used anti-aliasing but still have the problem. Whjat am I doing wrong?

Save the JPEG at a higher quality.

jpeg --> doesnt compress text well. Gif --> excellent for text or anything that has very defined lines. So yes you need less compression on the jpeg to render text better. In some instances you can take a jpeg image, put it in the background of a table cell, then place a gif image above it. Make the gif have a transparent background. This doesnt always work. Now the table cell has to be the same size as both images so that there is no shifting. Div Layers would work as well, but you might run into browser differences. |
