in this tut http://www.teamphotoshop.com/photoshop/tutorials/techniques/pankmetal/pankmetal.php I was wondering if someone could tell me how to do JUST the inner part (the 3-d ish circle with what looks like to be a color burn on the inside) with out using KPT 5.0

I know it can be done, I just dont know how :(
