Hey guys,

I was wondering how I could make a manillia folder in photoshop. Below is a picture of what I am trying to achieve. In the photo I am trying to create the folder on the right. I know basic shapes and stuff but the beveling for the tab kinda confuses me.

Thanks in advance for any help!
Mike

Just create a path and make a selection from the path, then use the airbrush to paint the black parts. At least that's how I'd do it.

I'm pretty sure you could do that with basic shapes.

2 squares.....

Awesome! Thanks for the help guys.

Matt, so you made 3 shapes, filled them and used the airbrush and some drop shadows?

Thanks Again!

No airbrushing.

2 big rectangles, same size on diff layers.

1 small trapezoid with rounded corners for the tab in the middle of those 2 layers.

Then I chose the top layer, the CTRL + Clicked on the layer with the trapezoid. Then I flipped the trapezoid upside down, and hit "Delete"

Then I just added a drop shadow to the top layer.
