I was just going through some of my old crap on my school server and I came accross this which I'd totally forgotten about: http://students.washington.edu/asarnat/sphere/menu.htm I'd prepared it for an interview that I never ended up getting. It uses the same technique that I created for a menu on one of my first websites (which no longer exists). It's a combination image map/javascript rollover. Graphics were made in 3dsmax. |

nice... but do you have to use 3dsmax? i think you could do it in ps... not very sure.. |

yeah it looks good.. very simple, but effective... I think it would have been better if you made like some text popup when you moved the mouse of the area... so you dont have to guess what one does what... and i think you could have done it in PS but if you like workign with 3DSM better.. more power to you... nice menu though... :D

It was intended only to demenstrate the technique I used for interlocking, nonrectangular image rollovers. I could've done this in photoshop, but I changed the texture and lighting a few times so in the end it was easier to do in Max.
