Well I am finally starting to do some development on my *own* site. Most of you guys who know me know I am pretty much a beginner at Photoshop/Flash/Dreamweaver, but here is something I started fiddling with last night. Just a rough layout of the first page...

http://www.d4design.net/site_test/html/main_page.htm

Ultimately there will be some, hopefully slick, animation to the layout which is one of the reasons I decided to use Flash. But no need to animate anything at this point if I decide to scrap this design;)

Constructive criticism on this rough draft appreciated...

Only criticism is that the D in D4 needs to be antialiased more.

i think it looks great.... simple and clean... one thing that you might want to do is to make somekind of a preloader... when the site actually has animations... but im sure you already thought of that... other then that it looks great... nice work...

Looks good! The only problem I could find was that there are some JPEG artifacts on the left side of the mouse pic. Other than that, it looks great. Can't wait for the animation.

Good job,

Looks terrific, but maybe either take your logo off the border inside, or make it extreme and have a third of it over the border. Since nothing else touches it, there shouldnt be such a subtle touch by the logo. And maybe that font is a bit "tall" looking. Kinda tough to read. Or maybe its too late for me to be up Otherwise, after the critisism. looks very very nice.
