New Site

I made this site for Splattered Webzine, for which I had made a less than great interface before ;) ...

The old interface for the site is still up, but here is the new one, on a different server. Please comment:

The text is kind of hard to read. I get what you were trying to do and appreciate straying away from ordinary and boring, but it doesn't immediately stand out what it is or what it's saying. And from a marketing standpoint, that's means it's not a very strong branding impression. If viewers have to look at it a couple of times just to get it, instead of viewing it a couple of times in admiration, it's failed as an icon/identifier/logo.

Just my thoughts...

The logos, in this style, are actually supposed to be illegible ;) . I would think this is amazingly lucid compared to the others...

well nice music choice first of all heh

and i see what youre goin for, but maybe try to incorporate more gfx into it?

the top banner text is really hard to read. there's no reason to put a every single text decoration either. i don't like how you layed out the info, and why didn't u just make everything have a black bg? and i agree w/ outbreak: more gfx.

pretty simple & straight forward website I'd remove the counter though..I think counters ruin a website. Add some more fancy stuff to it..get a theme in there that makes it look more interesting.

Remember, to keep the visitors glued to their monior, your website has to be interesting. Ask yourself what would keep the visitor glued to your website? If ppl would leave right away, ask yourself WHY! You have to have something that catches their attention, something that makes them want to take a closer look at what the website has to offer.
