I was thinking of skinning up my site.. Something I've been seeing more and more lately so I've decided to do two of each type of skin. One with some kind of frame or scrolling nav/content and one without.. The current/soon to be default is http://pheeble.com/v5 and the second version of it is http://pheeble.com/skins/skin1 This one to me looks a lot cleaner and all. One thing I've already figured out is that on resolutions higher than 800x600 there will be a lot of blank space to the right and underneat the navigation/content so I'll work on something for that. Could I get opinions on this layout compared to the other one. Thanks.

I love the second one, very small but this gives a "compact" note. Perhaps you can open it in a window or something to avoid the large blank due to resolution (opened it in 1280x960 here) ? Anyway even if the old look is nice I still prefer the second one way more.

I guess your could center it and add a light background to surround it to get rid of the white space? I hope you don’t make it as busy as the first one though. It was a kool design in my opinion but my eyes were going crazy and just looking everywhere. I also like Foxtrots idea of maybe making it open in it's own window. |
