I am new at all of this but I've been getting some good help from pixel ( echolab.cjb.net ) as well as some tutorials from teamphotoshop.com. So this is one of my best for now. Check it out. Tips and dislikes are appreciated, anything to tell me what I am doing wrong or right :]

It's cool. I would change the background a little. Instead of having big protruding 0's and 1's use a smaller font and have them fade in and out. A pinch of color wouldn't hurt either.

overall its pretty nice, but I think the binary in the background shoud be less opaque. and maybe smaller

its hard to read.
whats up with the binary code.
why do people always use that?
unless your site is about binary code, show me something that relates to your site!

smut online? is it a porn site?

Hmm... binary is DIGITAL, computers are DIGITAL. Therefore binary relates to most things. Smut Online, smut is my friends handle, I would be more than glad to direct you to a porn site if that was what you are hoping for? BTW, His site is about programing in VB and Delphi etc, so yes, the binary has something to do with the site.

The binary definately needs to be less opaque, since it is pretty distracting.

i wasn't hoping for porn, but if it was a porn site logo i was going to say it is a lousy one.

since its a site about programming, i guess using code in the design is appropriate, but i still think its a cliche and a cop out.

do you (as a designer) actually believe this is a good reason to use binary code in web page designs?

Yeah, porn logos should have naked people on them.

I agree about the binary stuff. It does look computerized, and 'matrixy' but that doesn't mean it has to be used just because it's a computer related site. If you use the excuse that you gave about the binary, then I think every web site ever should have binary in it.

Charm - Great use of bold! You just keep getting better and better.
