Please check out my first Web Site. Also my first menu interface. It's not comparable to you guy's, but I learn as I go. Let me know what could make it better. The address is http://picturethis-photography.com Let me know what ya think.

Rather traditional, I've seen other photo sites like this, but that's okay. For now I would work on the banner more. It's rather . . . ugly. The way you have 'Photography' so close to 'This' looks crowded. Don't use such a bulky banner.

Try changing the background to white or very light gray. Also, change the menu so that the mouse does not become a hand when it hovers over the top and bottom (i.e. it's not a link).
I would make the thumbnails for the pictures smaller, and confine them so they don't go underneath the menu.

Looks very nice for a first site.

my critique:

i don't like the color-schedule...
your top banner doesn't look sharp...
I think the menu is way too big...

I don't mean to be harse, but you just should work on it more.

***Wow, this is actually the 10,000 post in the website-showcase forum. cool.***

i would make the address and phone number html text. (easier to read, better to print, easy for user to cut and paste)

i agree with the banner comments

Actually it's my wifes business and I was just trying to learn how to make a web site for her in Dreamweaver. I'm not a graphic artist or web designer. I just picked up on things in photoshop and loved it. No comparison to you guys. Thanks for the replys.
