Need feedback on design!

Hi,

Recreating absolon.net once again. I want to leave the "portal" look
I have on www.absolon.net and try something diffrent.
Any comments on it?

i like the version that you are using now much better...

the other one is just too standard.

I don't like the navigation bar, the red above it is too bright...
You can't focus on the grey navigation bar.
The site is clean and organized though.

I forgot to say somethin' 'bout the site. I like the second one better, but would like to have the text on the linkbar to stand out more. Perhaps loose the shaded thing that goes brighter on mouseover and let the hole button change instead...

My only contribution of critisism. Otherwise a better layout overall.

i like the second one more, its more organized...but something looks incomplete

...It might be just so... in the link to the second one it reads "/template1.html" wich could indicate the fact that it
is a beta version of somekind...
