Can I get some tips and comments on this design I made with 3D and Photoshop? It's not finished yet, only a screenshot so far.. http://www.rognan.net/~thomlie/screen.jpg |

Looks like something from bryce.. The 3d is nice.. (winks at w*) but you've gotta fix ur site for usability.. I can't read a damn thing on that navigation and why is it at the bottom?... |

Well you can see yourself why I put it at the bottom... If I had put it at the top, all the metal bars would have been at the top, nothing at the bottom... But I will probably modify the text a bit...and some more detailed links in the menu to the right |

I didn't even see your navigation until sidefx mentioned it... won't do you much good down there on the bottom of the screen.

Well where should I place it then? ;) (Or should I just remove it and use only the right-menu? ) |

The right menu would be better. But it's still kind of far down. You don't really notice it without scrolling, which is bad.

And - You guys have to look at the details! If you had done that, you would have noticed the menu....at no problemo.. But any suggestions on how the menu should be? |

To be blunt, I don't care about your design enough to analyze every little detail and play hide and seek with your navigation menu. Chances are, no one else viewing your site will either. The navigation should be easy to see. If you want to put details and cool things other places, that's fine. Just make your navigation menu very easy to use and find. Otherwise people will never even see the rest of your detailed designs because they can't figure out how to get past the first page.

most people that will surf your site don't even care about your detailed graphics. Not all people are designers you know??? People just want to get the information as fast as possible. |
