Well folks.....

I have started to make the official website for a Swedish progmetal band called Lack of faith.

The site is not finished, but there are stuff there already. Please comment and let me know what you think so far. The forums are there too as are the contact page, the linkpage (Not in full tho) and of course the main page.

Thanx in advance.....The more comment, the merrier..... :D

And then I edited this post because I forgot to add the URL.....

Anyways.....Here it is: http://lof.synvinkel.net

Enjoy !

I like the main "logo" at the top.

Under the main page, on the right hand side where it says "Latest News". The letters are not readable (at least on my screen - Win 98 800x600 Netscape 4.72), and the box isn't lining up right.. maybe Netscape, maybe the tables??

The font size on all the main page is a little small in my opinion (not that mine matters haha)

Well the site is set up for 1024x768 so the site may look stupid or strange in less pixels.......

Switched to 1024 x 768...

The table on the right side still not lined up in Netscape 4.78. Now the font is even smaller. Just my opinion. Up the font size a bit.

When I'm searching, if I have to squint to read a page, I go back...

Heh.. Det är andra webbläsare .. Netscape kanske?

Why only test it for the one resolution and browser?

I don't like the splash page, looks, too beveled.

I like the top image, but I don't understand why you made the site framed. Very annoying to peer under the image at the text.

I do like the link box and the images through out the site.

Vad är progmetal?

Well.......The frames are because I felt it would cause me less trouble when updating the site and so forth. Less images to reload for users and so forth.....

Progmetal is short for Progressive Metal wich is a genre stung out from original metal. Bands like Drea Theater, Fates Warning and Nevermore play some kind of Progmetal. A more advanced type of heavy metal. Mostly with keyboards as a big input in the music.

think it looks real good, except for the frames, ditch the frames.... I like the top picture... and maybe the text in the "latest news" box is a bit too small....

"since December 20:th 2001 " hmm why is there a colon between "20" & "th".... or is just me

other than that, great band page...

the site is clean, good job.

my opinion is...
never design a site for one resolution, when i check my stats;

1. 1024x768 1318 35,84%
2. 1152x864 862 23,44%
3. 1280x1024 775 21,08%
4. 800x600 198 5,38%
5. 1600x1200 173 4,70%
6. 1152x870 139 3,78%
7. 1280x960 89 2,42%
8. 1152x768 35 0,95%
9. 1600x1024 24 0,65%
10. 1400x1050 13 0,35%
11. 2560x1024 9 0,24%
12. n/a 8 0,22%
13. 1056x792 5 0,14%
14. 1152x844 5 0,14%
15. 1344x1008 4 0,11%
16. 1024x742 3 0,08%
17. 1600x1280 3 0,08%
18. 1920x1200 2 0,05%
19. 2048x768 2 0,05%
20. 2560x960 2 0,05%
21. 3200x1200 2 0,05%
22. 832x624 2 0,05%
23. 1280x998 2 0,05%
24. 1152x900 1 0,03%
25. 1800x1350 1 0,03%
Total 3677 100.00%

You see that there are so many resolution visitors use.

I think that the header is to big for those 800 x 600 users ( yes they are still on the i-net ).

You never can make a page which will look perfect in every resolution, those who say they can are crazy ( ppssstt they lie ).

But try to make it from 800 x 600 < -- > 1280x960.
Those resolution are used the most.

Well again a my opinion, be glad that we dont all have the same opinion.

/again my 2 cents.
