I prefer the darker one. It seems to give it depth.

i like the first one better. for some reason, it makes me look for hidden things in the picture. looks good. everything sticks out in the second one. i just look at it and look away because i know whats there immediately. i'd go with the first one. |

I like the first one. I think the grid works better when it's more subtle. also the lighter colors are nice.

The first one is more of an eye-opener.

For some reason the first one really appeals to me I recon it rocks....btw this is like a real simple photo shop question but how do you do that blue line streaks you had going through the camera and into the middle

i used the shape tool and made an arrow and then blur it. After just mess around with the layer option.

The lighter one is easier on the eyes and engages you in the imagery more. The darker one is too dark, like it was by mistake or something.

If those images are link banners, then you really need to rework them. They're not a standard size, and they don't do a good job of making you want to click them. Try reading the banner tutorials at http://www.designsbymark.com/. However, if these images are like page headers, I like the first one. A green shade for the background might make it look better, but I'm not sure. Try getting rid of the "line" part of the arrows and just have the "arrow" part, all the way to the edge of the image. Get rid of the grid too, it detracts from the picture of the camera. |

yeah this is not a link banner. Just a page header. Yeah I'll try and test your ideas nl2 and see if it is better. Thanks for the comment.
