It's an interesting idea, but I think it could potentially be a little confusing to have the content pop-up in four different places. But if you don't care about usability, then go for it.

One way to do it that would make it easier to understand would be to use a different color for each quadrant. Red green yellow blue or something. That would make it easy for your eye to group the content with the color and subject relating to that color. It would also help you to understand that there are four seperate areas for the content.
