Cool Movie Website...

I don't know if there are any anime fans out there but if you like anime i suggest to rent or buy "Princess Mononoke" they also have a very cool website.

I'm pretty sure there are anime fans here. Since 75% of the posts now seem to be 'how do i duplicate this effect i saw on an anime site?' or, 'look at my new anime site!'.

Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the site. Maybe because I don't like anime, but more likely because it takes a ridiculously long amount of time to load anything. And just like every other anime site, it seems they just base the entire design off of the anime characters, and don't really put in anything original at all. So if you don't like anime, then there really isn't anything special about the site, at all. Other than it takes a freakin' long time to load the pages.

Here's a fun exercise... Go to any anime site, and take out all of the pictures of the anime characters, then re-evaluate how cool the site is. Oops! There is nothing left!

PM is a great movie, but then I like anime:D .

the site isn't that bad. with anime sites i think that it's the anime that makes it attractive. sure, they didn't labor in Photoshop or Illustrator for weeks, but they did put heart into drawing the animation, which takes a good deal of talent, though, you're right, it doesn't necessarily reflect the talent of the webmaster.

oh, well.

I wasn't critiqueing the anime. The anime is great, I'm sure. The web site is not. The person that did the site did not do the characters, and there really isn't anything special about the site itself. Minus the characters. That's all I was saying.
