what do you think of this layout http://web.ukonline.co.uk/darkangel101/testpage2.htm compared to http://www.gamersvision.com . also could you please tell me how long it took the first 1 to load because im concerned its too big at the moment.

hmm. I'm on a 56k and it look about 40secs to load, not good. I also saw that it's a jpg, gif are a heck of a lot smaller. your jpg is 207k, very large and also, is that your finished layout? It might be hard to integrate html text onto it, unless you've built your page around it. I can't compare it to the other site coz the other one is totally different. I would maybe visit some other sites (game sites if you wish) and get an idea for a better layout. If you're new to the program, that's a great effort, but your border is a bit hectic and colours aren't very appealing. I'd also suggest a new logo, the silvery surface is a big pixelly if you know what i mean. And certainly don't use the same method for the smaller text you have underneath, a normal clean text will make it look a lot more professional. Visit the vast majority of games sites to see a better way of laying out the interface. :confused: Keep working on it!

hmm - i am on adsl and it was both the same speed - about 5 seconds.

it is pretty simple but it looks pretty good. can you tell me where you got that script for the status bar message to scroll liek it does?

yeah the new site is definetely better. didn't take me long to load...on cable.

Now that's a lot quicker, gifs make all the difference

i don't like the site to much, the blue isn't very original and makes the site look a bit dark.

and i would use a sans-serif font for the menu.

just my two cents.

im on a 1152 resolution and the background you use is comming back on the right. Alot of peeps uses higher resolutions, make sure that it works in all resolutions.

The site is not that bad, only i think that "gamers vision" text in your header need some work.
