I feel some Flash comments coming, but not from me. What I would like to see it a "BACK" button. When I enter your showcase, and enter into an area within', I do not readily see a button to go back to "BACK". I don't not like having a "BACK" button. Sure I could go down to your "SHOWCASE", but many people like their "BACK" buttons. Also, there is an unneccessary scrollbar at the bottom of your window. It moves 2 pixels. If you were to just make your window a "bit" wider, you'd be OK, either that or shrink down your content/design. |

I realize flash is so sexy and everything but c'mon, do you really need those jiggling flash things? I mean if you gotta have em jiggling, why not make em gifs? Then you dont run the risk of having to make folks download plugins from the net. Next. I don't really see a need to have your site come up in a pop-up. With a little extra work, you could make that layout stretch. Or just fix it in a table. I closed it the first time a pop-up came up until I realized that it was actually the site coming up. Finally. I can understand why you would like to design for Internet Explorer, but this is your portfolio. Do you really want to take the chance of people visiting your site and using netscape? I don't know of an employer who is willing to copy and paste the site in IE from Netscape. If it were your personal site, I would say more power to you. It's the same thing I do. But my portfolio site will be compatible in both browsers. Netscape 4.7 means I have some extra work to do, but once people have finally gotten rid of that POS, I won have to worry. |

Hi Jeff Welcome to the forum, I am using netscape 6.1 and get teh scroll bar at the bottom, I also after looking at the site for a while started to want to grip thw sides of the desk with those jittering labels thay became annoying, other than that fairly smooth. Grenadier |

Thanks for the comments folks, I think I'm gonna scrap that design and go for something that doesn't load in a damn Pop-Up window. I've had that design for nearly a year now, so I think it's about time I move on :D. |

Heh, sorta... but I guess it is a year old now, time for a change I say... As you can most likely see, I've already got a new splash going, but it's still gonna take me a while to get the rest of the baby up :D. URL again: www.JeffEarnshaw.com |
