Really interesting navigation

Here's some interesting navigation. I, personally, have never seen anything quite like it, and think it to be quite clever.

I never said I hated Flash. I have stressed the fact many times that I just generally don't see the point. But in this case, I do think it is a good use of Flash. Mainly because it would be nearly impossible to accomplish in an HTML site, and it really is a clever navigation scheme. And it's still very intuitive to use. It shows an excellent hierarchy of the site at all times, so you can see what's there, and it is very easy to get to where you want to go. I like it.

that is a pretty cool interface. is there a name for that kind of effect, like when you point a video camera at a monitor and you get the infinite scale of images?

Being just a beginner in webgraphic...and a musician all my life....I think flash is like a plugged in electronic midi keyboard that makes lotsa cool sounds and effects....but you gotta have power to plug.

and sometimes, its nice to hear just an unplugged acoustic guitar......plain html with nice use of colors, layout , user friendly, good flow, easy nav....etc.

Of course. I usually don't like Flash sites, and any of the regulars in here will know that I think that. But there are a few like the one I posted above that really benefit from Flash, and do something that would be possible with HTML. Most of the time the Flash is just eye candy, but that site actually used it to better the navigation and experience of their site, and that's why I like it.
