I created the template on the main site and converted it to VBulletin skin for my site...

The red is way to harsh on the grey background I think. Maybe just go with white or black and then use red as a hover state or something. Or have the new post icons be red. Just some thoughts ;)

I also agree... The red on the grey is too contrasting... I would try experimenting with some different greys and reds
