I scoured your site, under bio and contact looking for your name... so... nicely done, "Line". You have a definate 'style' to your sites and artwork that I like. Somewhere between a cartoon and an illustration. What did you use for the php ecommerce solution? Tell me you didn't code that all by hand. :( |

wow thanks a lot Malibu and Rogas! Malibu, the ecommerce solution is PayPal. All done by hand. I had thought about it a lot being something that would be boring as heck. However, Even a regular shopping cart would require data entry. Thankfully the code is copy and paste with only some values to be changed but it's really all the same. Thanks again you two! -Line |

I was wondering what shopping cart solution you had found that would generate forms for the catalog items (I've never seen one). There are some open source solutions with PayPal IPN hooks, but you are correct--the database still has to be populated :( The ease comes when you want to update the catalog--you just tell the client how to log in and add or remove items from the admin panel! |

yeah i hear that. I made the page a little easier though, all items are in their own page. so I use a php comman like ?PHP include('itemcode_2016.php') ? to include item number 2016 for example. If he wants to switch an item out with another, he or I just has to change the item number providing the page has already been made. -Line |

hey malibu, thought i'd chime in. MyCart (http://open.appideas.com/MyCart/) is an open source shopping cart solution that creates forms for data entry for the client. i'm currently implementing the system in my latest client site, www.design-a-lopes.com. you can check it out to see how it works. just thought i'd share
