First of all I'd like to tell you how I Love this design and the whole thing. I know it's not a new design, but I really admire this. It allows you to put a plain picture, but without the felling that it's just a picture and plus each box has its own purpose, really I like it, good job on that one again. now the main purpose of the thread 1. I feel like I really like it and feel at home (because I do enjoy urban pictures) 2. This picture really calm me down for some reason, it's quite appeasing, just like in a dream and this one is defenitely my favorite (REALLY nice photo) 3. It has its charm, not my favorite but it makes a change from the other ones. 4. I guess it depends on how you feel at the moment, but this one doesn't make it for me. Makes me sad with all these trees without leaves when the summer is coming :( like Chrisz0rz, I hope it can helps oh and sorry for the long respond :/ |

I figure I'll just comment on my favorite one out of the 4.. It was most definetly the 2nd one. Much like the person above me, I found it calmed me down, being a sort of soothing picture. It would be nice if you could get the blurryness a bit out of the middle box though. Are all these pictures taken by you? |

#1 works best. The other three aren't as good.

for some reason, I dig number 3. Number 1 works too. Number 4 is too gloomy :( Number 2 just sucks :P

Lol... you are going to have so many diverse opinions on this. I will agree #2 was calming and I like how it worked. #3 was also cool. I like the big heart thing ma bobbers... I am no completely keen on the boxed layout. It's too window ish - and I don't mean M$. But I would go with 2 then 3 as my picks....

Well diverse opinions are good in this case! The good news.....im not using any of them (lol). The reason for posting this thread was to run a little experiment to find out how the images affected the user and/or layout. I picked 4 specific images, 2 depressing & 2 happier images figuring they'd have the most impact. I know how the images impact me....and should impact the user.....but ive never had specific feedback from a users so thats what i was trying to get at. "It's too window ish - and I don't mean M$" lol. I'll take that as a compliment cause thats the purpose of the design. All your comments were helpful. Thanks guys. |

1 & 2 I like 3 is a little too "bleh" plain 4 i dont think is good to use, too many possible conflicts of emotions |

actually 3, while sort of happy overall, gives me an odd feeling because of the way the hearts are split straight thru the center, almost a "broken heart" impression. chris |
