Portfolio Website.

I've just started making this site for my portfolio i was wondering what you think.
It should be pretty full within afew weeks of this post

as a fundemental rule of web design, you should *never* have to explain the navigation system to your visitors.

also, what resolution did you design for? there's no way at 800x600 that anyone could appreciate your site. even at 1024x768 it looks like some of your content might require horizontal scrolling to view it. and in some cases, even at 1600x1200, your image manipulations still require both horizontal *and* vertical scrolling to view them.

scrolling is horrible, i would never look on this pictures if i have to scroll to the right all the time...
the arrows at the navigation looks like, uhm, "look where you have to click", but i think all pepole know where their mouse points to, no?

my tip: try to get some basic skills & rules first and then start from a scratch. (sry!)
