Buttons I made, my best work yet.

well what can I say guys, i'm a button man, what do you think of them?

Wow, those are great. My only suggestion would be to add some kind of subtle looped animation to #2 as you hold you mouse over it. It does a little animation and then just stops...

I'd say i like #1 the best.

Yeah I like the first one best too, by far. Very cool animation! Last one is also pretty good. 3rd one is cheap though, really don't like it.

Your site is very nice too by the way, impressive...

Geassel:yeah the 3rd one was just made to try out an idea, It would look much cooler if I changed the look of the nav those animations dont fit with that kind of button.

Besides just lots of practice and tinkering, can you recommend some useful links to tutorials or possibly book recommendations? I’ve tried to get into flash so many times but after learning the basics I’ve had trouble applying that to anything more complex.

FlackBait: well I have only one book and that is flash 5 bible, i read only 10pages of it and just started playing with flash. When I first started with flash i download alot of tuturials from flashplanet.com which is down now and I visited flashkit alot, they got a big section. Other then that I have just made different sites in flash and tried out different things.

I love 1 & 3, great flash work.

I had already saw the last 2 buttons before, but the first 2 are much better. #1 is the best by far, it's just amazingly good

number 3 would be way better on a different style of button like you said... maybe if you could make it smaller and in a different colour... just a thought
