Something I Could Add To The Bg...

Hm. I tried a few things, still not too sure what to use, any ideas?

the font up top is a little hard to navigate with... more spacing maybe? Very cool photo of the gate tho. As for a bg, http://k10k.net (*hopes that is right*)

What about just a solid basic gray? I think if you put any sort of image (photo or pattern) it would distract from the actual photo. Also gray would pop the image off the page...where as it blends in with the white bg.

You could possibly (this might be a stretch) use some kinda grungy border on the top/bottom. Of course it would have to somewhat subtle. In a way though.....it would match the photo or kinda the openlate.org font/logo.

Yeah a grey background would be nice. Also I would suggest not using bold and italic, especially for dates. Does the date really matter, or is it more the news that matters? Just something to think about...

I think it looks pretty good. Doesnt really work that well in opera because the Iframe covers your background image. But in IE it looks great I really like that background pic. Maybe some kindof of simple pattern, kindof light, pattern might look good. Something not to noticable, but something that will work better then white.

I don’t care much for the italics you used. It would be kind of neat if you used the same font you used for the openlate.org in the lower left corner for the little headers you have. Looks like you have about three different type faces on just that first page. Maybe leave the body text the same but make the font size a little smaller.
