hey campers...

...I'm finally going to build my own site! this is a header that I've been working on today, and I was wondering if you could give me a little bit of your honest opinions. I think I'm pretty much finished with it, accept for the body of the page which will probably be a really simple layout.

hey scrypter. im loving the header man. every bit of it is really nice. the cloud effect, its sort of a dream cloud because its somewhat fake because of how its white and dark blue. aswell as that orange glow inside of it. the NHP text (what font?) is really nice aswell as the neverhouse productions text.

aswell the bottom of the header with all those seperate little images is looking great. and you even have that rulered look where there are the little lines on the bottom. can't wait to see the whole site. looking good

Really nice, the only thing that you might wanna think about is the users with 800x600. Then they would be side scrolling your page. Nice job man.

yeah thats always a problem. it could be solved if you cut off a bit off the sides centered it so it would look good in 800x600.

you could always make two sites so on your splash page or intro page you could have the option of 800x600 or 1024x768.

that would be a good idea, i could usually give you a few examples of this but I don't know any sites that I'm talking about off the top of my head. The closest one is maybe Ultrashock and how they have 3 ways to view their site (the same exact site, just in different types of viewing capabilities)

I see what you mean. There seems to be a way to do this without the mess of seperate pages (refering to leihu.com). I don't know a whole lot of html so this might take me a while to actually figure out in my little head.

I really like the header and agree with the different screen size issues that have already been mentioned.

If you don't want people to have to choose what their screensize is so your page shows up correctly, I know there is a javascript that autoshoots them to the right page based on their resolutions. But this would involve having to make a bunch of seperate pages also :/
