yes, fugly it is. sorry dude, but that's no basic layout, it's not even much close to it. let's see u show us more than just a pattern so u can get some real comments.

Absolutely not. Why? Because u have 2 light colors (blue/pink) on a white background. It makes it hard to see, there is no contrast or anything to make the layout stand out! Try making the background a dark gray or black.....or some dark color.....and go from there.

All that was stated above. Fugly, and if you are going for the Hello Kitty style, you got it. :p

If I were you, I wouldn't go for that idea and think of a different concept.

Disagreed. Contrast is bad for a background if there's text or info right above it, you don't want your eyes to explode from taking in too much at once.

you shouldnt have text against highly contrasting backgrounds.
