Critique on 2 sites please

Re doing my 2 sites, bit by bit ;) and I would like some feedback on what i have so far.

Firstly : the061

It will be a flash site currently just a visual. More urban style. Content along the lines of recent freelance work, a little about me and links to t-shirts etc

secondly : angrynorth
www.angrynorth.com

More restrained version similar content.

any feedback welcomed.

I like the first one!
I would put the text at least one pixel to the right.
It should have some room on the left and under and over text.
Then I would take away the pink at the top under the manc design people and put that text 1-2 pixels to the right too...
So that it ain't going on the The061 background.
Otherwise very nice.

This one I don't like that much...it's too simple and amature looking in someway...okey this is just imo...though...
First off the name and the site don't really fit.
then I don't like 1px black outer strokes...makes it look to "inboxed".
Not sure why but I think if you do that it makes the site to 2 different things...the site and the background and imo these 2 should be the same...they should work with eachother...
Then the gray texture with the 70 degrees lines on...naah...
If you have 800*600 you won't the see the navigation at all...
And the navigation could be a bit smaller too..
Then the "main text" / Angrynorth.com...why is it there...it's not in the middle and ain't aligned with anything...

Okey I hope you don't take this the wrong way...
It's better than many sites out there but in imo it's not perfect...

i really really dislike the first one...... its too dark for my liking

Thanks for the positive comments on the 2nd design (angrynorth) lazyroll although, I think I am more with Censured on this one as its not really "me" if you know what I mean. But then again, I've also had some good comments about it too. :confused:

I like the second one better. The logo on top looks really good and the layout is more aesthetically pleasing to me.

I like the old Angry North layout.

I loved that one too, but it was difficult to navigate through, I couldn't really show the other stuff I do with that site :(

Is it still up? It was awesome.

afraid not, although you are kind of making me think maybe it should be ;)
