I know you guys are probably fed up with me and my layouts, lol. Especially since they're mainly just stock photos with iframes on them. It's all i can really imagine right now, although i try many other things, they're just not post-worthy. I'll get there eventually, but for now - this is all i can do to achieve a professional looking site.

Ignore the content, it's just copy and pasted so that i could see what it was going to look like.

Which do you prefer? Is this layout better than the current (http://dreamsforsale.net)? What could i change?

Original, however you may want to make the iFrame bigger on the original. ;) Just my opinion.

Yeah, i need some more content space!

I may go with this one for awhile, but i may switch back to the original later.

Those are some short, wide iFrames. Text is really hard to read when it is that wide. Always try to split it up so that it is narrower and easier to read. If might mean multiple columns, or iFrames, or sections, or whatever. But thats just my design advice - take it or leave it. But I'm telling you that I didn't read any of the text - too difficult to do so. Nice picture, though - did you take it?

Also, I would suggest using aliased text for layout previews. Especially in this one - I think that it might be kinda hard to read with the white text over the lights on the building.

i still agree, the orig. is better, but of the 4 that you posted, the most recent is the best. it saves space, saves scrolling, and keeps people focused. it also helps to organize things.

the thing i dont lik eabout the new one is that the colors are pretty vibrant and busy in the background, this is distracting from content.

not quite sure what's up with the trident in the top right corner ...

Some interesting things to keep in mind when making text:

people lose their interest or whatever you'd like to call it when the lines and paragraphs are too long. So a good thing to do is this:

Keep your lines short, don't make them
span the width of the whole page, and
in between the paragraphs put an extra
line break.

Something like this, and then you can keep
going on.. it helps people to keep focused
on what they're reading.

seriously, it works.. I'm guessing that's why newspaper columns are so narrow lol

Yeah, thanks. Great tip.

Here's a less-busy attempt at it.

And is the trident the ghey? I didn't really mean for it to be a trident, lol. Now that you mention it, it does look like one.
