Yeah, I think it is dumb when people say its all good just to be nice. Its good to get HONEST opinions, that is why these boards are better then most others.

It's not even a question of honesty or not. It's just that by saying you don't like it, you are driving someone to be better, and by showing them what they did wrong, you are showing them how to be better.
It's an issue of criticism being constructive and helping you become a better webdesigner (or whatever it is you're doing).
