Come on now guys, let's not get personal with stuff here. No use for name calling, cussing, or putting down each other's skills.

I would not call what dapo did ripping. It is his coloring with some stuff added, and it's very good. I would call taking the entire teamphotoshop site, and changing a couple of words ripping.

At the same time, I wouldn't call it completely dapo's artwork either. Sure, the coloring is a lot harder to do than the little sketched outline... But still, that isn't his outline. Where did you get the outline anyway? Was it from another fan site for the purpose of coloring? Or was it from the official site or something?

Either way, I think it would solve the problem if you just put "Colored and edited by David". Or nothing at all.

It's a little extreme to say it's a copyright infringement just because it's a dragonballz character. There are thousands of sites on the internet devoted to anime, and they all do things similar to this. It just looks like David is taking the credit for the whole work, which I think is causing the problem.

So just change it to say "colored and edited by..." or just leave credits off altogether. Everyone will know you didn't create the character, so that's not a problem.

An anime site wouldn't be an anime site without a bunch of pictures of anime all over the place.

A personal portfolio site such as leihu's, wouldn't be a portfolio site if it wasn't all original.

People that come to Dapo's site are going to know that he didn't create the character. It's a popular anime character that will be viewed by anime fans.

People that come to Leihu's site will know that it is original work. Especially since it has his picture on it. (I guess that's you anyway)

I agree that you shouldn't take credit for the whole of the artwork on your splash page. But there is really no reason why you can't just put "Colored and edited by David" on there. Because the coloring is what impressed me, not the little outline sketch of the character. People will still think you are very good, and you won't piss anyone else off by implying that everything is original.

Stop calling each other newbies. Just because you are a newbie to the forum doesn't mean you are a newbie to design or photoshop or anything else. You are both good designers, so just stop it.

I really don't want to moderate all of your posts so that they have to be approved before they will be added to the forum, but I will if one of you doesn't swallow your pride and stop this. You're just going in circles anyway.
