I wouldn't sweat the swirl. They are everywhere in nature even if they are overused in business. Although, I will say that I don't think that the image (your cd cover) serves any purpose, especially the big dipper. Is "disaster recovery" the name of the band or the album? If you want to do a space-type theme, I'd go with a "big bang" image -- something that might give a concrete allusion to disaster recovery. Maybe even just a galaxy. Anything but the big dipper.

As far as looks are, it looks very nice and attractive. The swirl draws my attention and the colors are warm/soft/blurry so they are nice to look at. As far as the point of the swirl+the stars I dont know if they fit but it looks good nonetheless.

As an image it's ok. But I don't think it's a good CD cover. Mainly because it doesn't grab my attention. If I was flipping through a rack of CDs at the store, I would just flip right by that one. It has nothing to catch my attention, and nothing to seperate it from the thousand other CDs. I can't tell who the band is at a glance, or the name of the album. Just something to think about when making CD covers.

Thanks for all of the comments. I agree the stars are out of place, just messing around. The cover is just for a backup cd I was making, just messin around.

Thanks again, DewChugr
