For those of you who are interested in how color works, and how your eye perceives it, check out this site. Also a book I read called Visual Intelligence is very interesting. Not focusing on solely color, but how your eye creates our 3D world, and how it recognizes shapes, etc. etc. Here's the link to the color site: http://www.refacdesign.com/flash/rd_color.html And now that you know all about color, see what your web site looks like to a color blind person! It will make you think twice about using red and green as navigational elements in your site... http://vischeck.com/vischeckURL.php3 And here's the link to buy the book if you have 10 bucks to spare: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0393319679/qid=995125803/sr=1-1/ref=sc_b_1/104-4211576-5700769 Also, if you've ever been looking for a particular font, and can't remember the name or where you got it, try to find it here by answering a series of questions about it. http://www.identifont.com/ |
