If your more comfortable with Danish (Did I get this right, my appologies if not) then do the site in that. Spelling mistakes are a no no in graphic design. If you insist on doing it in english, proofread it a few times to make sure. :D I don't think people "hate" peoples work. Its strictly criticism and comments. You will learn much more from your mistakes rather then someone sugar coating a lie. Keep working at it. Its a good start.

yup...
If someone tells me that I have written something wrong in english wich happends pretty often :D
Then I'm only glad if someone points out that it's wrong and how it should be spelled...Wouldn't want a site with spelling errors...
coz it makes the whole site seem a bit unprofessional.

About the site.
And don't get mad at me :D
Just trying to help here
Well about the colors...I would leave out the pink and the beech (if it's called that :D).
Then about the layout.
I think it looks like two sites on eachother.
The square that has menu in the left corner, I would drop it down so that the background of the updates would continue the whole way to the right side.
And then leave the pink outlines.
And then make the white squares the same size.

And as I said I'm just trying to tell you what I would do :D
And I'm okey with the...hmm "rip off"...
But please don't do it again...
you will always get caught :D
