Something there needs to change, but I can't really put my finger on what. Maybe it's just because it's in the middle of the night here..... :D

I think it's a refreshingly different layout, and I like that. I actually really like the colors, kind of different. The only thing that doesn't really work for me is your initial splash page, it's not quite as crisp, clean, and detailed as your other work. I looked through your portfolio and you have a lot of great work in there, and I just think that your current splash page doesn't live up to your portfolio. Maybe it's the colors that you used in it, they just seem to clash with your color scheme to me. Other than that though, I really have to say that I like it, great work.

I think that this one would fit the color scheme pretty good. I think you would get a better response from your visitors.

funny you should choose that one swan - that was the pic that I used as a splash for my former site version - I changed that pic a bit and then I put it on as portfolio.... Maybe I'll make a new splash sometimes soon and perhaps I'll include a script that will rotate them or mabybe present a random splash every time someone enters the site... - like the good folks at teamphotoshop do... - the thing is the site is php now and any structural change is a bitch

Cool. Just make sure that the splash designs you use match your color scheme and I think you'll have a winner.
