My personal site: layout of the one page

Hello, guys and girls!
i've started to create my personal site also. For this moment i need your opinion about it.
I did it for 1024*768 resoltion only (later i'll test it in 800*600 too).
So if your res 1024*768 please look at this and tell me your opinion abt graphic, colours. Sorry that you can not test yet navigation or content. I'll show you any updates.

A really nice start. Wouldn't the menu look neater if it was a graphical menu rather than the text one that is there now?
Did you make the paintbrush yourself ?
I'm looking forward to a full site there and hope to see some good artsy thingys there :D

i'm thinking about menu. I want to do it very simple, but several ppls have said already that i have to change font of menu. I'm looking for it.
Yes, of course i've painted the brush myself. i need fix some detail there.

Well like Nanne said it is a good start, but i think it need some more work, i think with your skills you could encorperate alot more images,details, etc...

I would recommend spicing it up some, just looks to simple and open IMO... but its a good start :D

Not too shabby...
you may want to consider creating the site for 800x600 users.
It's statistical that most resolutions are set to 800x600. A good designer designs for the unwashed masses
