I'd go with number 3. But maybe your friend is right. A more "weddingfeel" to the site perhaps would spice it up a bit.

I feel your right on target with the first ones, the color selection for the type of site is good, or at least this is my opinion =)

nr 3 and try getting that emotional feeling in it :P i dont like thoose biiig squares in your 'top' .. they look, uhm way too big dont get me wring, love the idea, hate the big squares nice job!! |

I like 3, more color and I just don't like how hte grid ends so abruptly on 4. Good job!

Oh gosh, the original is terrible. You would actually be doing her a favor by not following her confused design. But what you have to make her realize is that there is nothing NOT technical about present day photography technology? Most people coming to visit the site will begin to think, yes, technology is good, I like photos, lets go get some Swenson! So be sure to make them do that....
