Hi there - I've never posted here before. i tried the DBM forum but think I made a mistake - all you get there is either "cool" or "not cool" !



What do you all think - this is a trial, I was trying for some contrast - you know sea and sky and different kind of fluid feel?

Oh yeah, I just realized that the bottom of the water was mountains..... "Cool" (sorry). Yeah that is nice. That hard red kinda seems out of place, but I guess that is the point of contrast.

Pretty nice in concept and application.

I don't mind the red (color) so much as the red grid in the top right...It pulls my eye and I don't think it is suppose to be the focus....
Is it just me?

That's very true, Torn. I think he secretly put a magnet there. My eyes just keep drifting up there no matter how hard I may try to pull away. That's why I didn't see the mountains the first time!

the grid attracks my attention too, but seems fine...

It feels like it's trying to do too much, like it got to a point where everything was working then about three more things got added. A little simpler would work IMO.

nah thats not how it happened - it was always that format - I see what your getting at though , maybe I need to simplify the whole thing. The red is what they call a "focal point" maybe its in the wrong place

I dont mind the color scheme to much. I think what bothers my eye is the "noise" up near the corner. I like the contrast. just not the contrast in the fluidity. Does that make any sense? Well anyway, looks real nice.

Reminds me of a National Geographic cover.
