Here is my proposed 2003 ruv.net site design, Fairly conservative, a lot of my clients are financial companies and large corporations. So a design that is too "cutting edge" will only scare them off. I'm trying to get away from my more techie look and feel of 2002 and moving to a more natural look and feel. I'm definitly avoiding the use purple, I'm so sick of that color. I'll be posting my inside template after I've refined the front page. When you give me your comments, please keep in mind my target audience. Thanks in advance. update >> www.ruv.net/?512 http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1103464 |

I think it is "cutting edge" at least in style.... I really like your style of "grunge" if thats what you want to call it. The site looks rather clean and professional, but still has that RUV style to it.. thats some really nice work man... and i think it will work out nicely for you... Great job :D |

very slick and professional. the only part i don't like is the quickfolio thing. i think it would be more valuable to have fewer links there and to show little screenshots of the work rather than just have a little folder for every one. it would entice me to click on it more if i could see a sneak preview.

that would work. i think you could fit 3 of them in there nicely though. just crop out a small, interesting section of the featured item to use as the preview.

oooo i really like this. one thing i would change though would be to have the menu items that currently reside above the paint tubes, moved to under the paint tubes. on a web page my eyes tend to move from focal point to further down the page. not up. maybe that's just me. also i notice you have that little line - over the u in "ruv". in the sentence: "As an experienced independent and mutli-facetted consultant, ruv gained..." you are missing the line above the u. and multi is spelled mutli. i know i know, "it's just a mockup" but i like picking out mistakes so maybe you won't make them in the future. |

i have to agree that the quickfolio thingy doesn't really fit the rest of the design. Maybe something other instead of them folders? paint-palettes maybe ? in slick colors..... :D I didn't really fancy the font in the menu either, but that's probably just me. :D |

I like your older site more. I would have an option to bounce back and forth from old to new.
