working on two interfaces, suggestions?

Well, I don't want to come off sounding like a jack as* but you did post the interfaces for opinions... so this is my opinion on the first one (black, grey, white) ... It sucks ... Now I am just saying it sucks I am saying I really do think it sucks. HOWEVER (always a however) It could be better just a little movement of where stuff is and it could be better. The first suggestion is too stay away from thick black lines it just makes the site look less crisp and clean. The other suggestion is to move your news section on the bare open spot when I go to a site I like to read what is going on with the person and the site and I wouldnt like it if I would have to squint to read. And also the links arent anything special just a grey box with links... make sometype of button but stay whithin the theme of the site don't put like the aqua button or something. and my last suggestion is for the white triangles formed by the put in a light grey there so it makes the content area look a little more clean . . . well I guess that is all my thoughts on the first one .... and I do think it is good just needs a little work if you arent sure on some of the suggestions just ask. And for the second one... i like it... just the links should be rounded to match the content area... thats all... infact the second one is REALLY cool. WOOPS change what is said around I got the two interfaces mixxed up... I hope this isnt too much writting... have fun

I like the black interface better as well.


The guy which this is being made for said he wanted orange added to the second site and wanted a more embeded look..

So..

I can't change the links because I don't know what they will be linking too.. so gussying them up isn't really an option.

That entire emmeded emboss look makes the site look like a begginers first site and that was the only effect he new how to use. I like the one with the clouds in the BG better.

*shrug* He's looking for a clean corporate site with embedding..
As long as he likes it I'm happy...

But can the embedding be improved? Should parts of the interface be reshaped etc..

If he wants a embedded look but also a nice and sharp look (or if you want the sharp look) Just lessen the blur on the emboss and decrease the depth of it ... that should do it also maybe increase the lighting ... But hey if the guy likes you like it! (Just the way it works.) :D
