ver.lite Blinding?

Hey all, first off, this is just a link to a .gif, but it's quite small.
I'm revamping my site, and am planning on having more than one version, or skin.

This is the lite version and I'm wondering what you think of the colors. I've been staring at different colors for a while now and can't really tell if these are too harsh or not.

Or if they're just terrible together.

Looks really nice...
The color are very very trendy which are a good thing...
The green top is a bit too bright to fit in to the top 10 of trendy colors
Hard to say about the whole site coz that ain't the whole site,right?
but it all looks really nice

Yeah this one is better, except make the text at the top also a green color, like in the previous one.

I would put that green color on the top just a BIT darker...
Then it would be really trendy....
Then you have the perfect trend site...
All you would need would be the name carbon four and a half/year back

i like the first one better. the contrast between the logo and the header background color is necessary.

with the contrast, header green, logo orange, it causes the logo to "pop" right of the page. being that logo is very inventive and simple, i think this contrast helps make the logo and name stand out more than it does in the second sample where logo and background are the same color. (just my 2 cents)

i like the layout a lot. stick with the orange alien dude

It seems like the orange is more popular. (at least in the last two posts.)

The fact that it 'pops' more could also be due to the fact that the orange one has a drop shadow that I ommited in the green.(not the only reason, I know, but it helps.)

Also, on the grass, let me know what you think. It's supposed to be just that- grass. But I'm afraid it could be misread as something slightly less, um ,legal. I don't know.

And one other thing: That's not the first time someone's called that little guy an alien either. I'm thinking I might have to do something with his antenae.

And about your site, i think it looks awesome so far... personally i like version 6.3 the best out of all of them... but they are all pretty good :D
