What layout is better?

i prefer the second, but needs some work on the font, hard to read etc etc.
maybe some content organization would help too...but i just skimmed.

They load awfully slow for me here...so I didn't complete the loading of za pages...

Mayby it's because of my resolution, but it seems a bit to narrow. I'm at 1152*864

try it on 1024*768, it looks pretty good at that res.

id go with the 2nd one, but i would change the top "custom maxima.com" the custom and maxima.com i feel is much to far apart from to accociate with eachother. when i first say it i thought it was just maxima.com and the custom was part of the navigation. the layout is much better than one though.

Yeah i think the second ones better, but they both need some work done on them... they load really slow for me too :p

Looks more neat and organised.
I think you need to work on the font to standardise it.
Now, the fonts on the navi are small and neat while those in the main content area is kinda big and alias.
Could do with sans-serif fonts.
