a layout im making to replace my current showcase site

this is the currentlayout

should i continue with the new one or keep the current one, ?
comments and suggestions appreciated

the new one is better, but to my liking still a little to plain, i don't knwo what it is missing, but it is missing something.

i think maybe u need like 1 more color to go in there. its pretty cool i guess. does look plain though

I like the scheme, and your nav font..
but I don't really like the way you did your news and links :(,
and I don't like the roundness of your news part
and the way its outlined..
but other than that I thinks its quite nice and the colors are great can't wait to see it finished..
oh yes, and your going to have the site with a black border around it.. which is a good idea, do center the page
..

The new one is better... has more style to it then the old one... nice work on both of them though... :D

Old one is better in my opinion...

the 2nd one has a better feel to it.
Did you make those winamp skins?
