empty space

hey all i just redesigned my site
micro.rant-on.net
and we everything is fine except next to the news section there is empty space which i have left empty due to my blankness of what to put there..........
any comments will be good, thanks all

also feel free to post in the shout box....

is cool but is hard to tell what each button is for.

I'm viewing this on 1152x864 res btw, and the top nav + shoutbox, the news box, and the links on the bottom do not line up.

on 800x600 it comes out fine but noone has told me what they think about the empty space

lol...maybe a random image :D that seems to be a new trend around here. :D or maybe add poll, or maybe a 'recently added' section to show off anything new you've added. have fun with my great ideas.

well there is an idea that i havent thought of a poll. and i might use like a random or weekly portfolio image on the index page.

yea, once my script site is completed, im gonna be adding a poll to the homepage to hopefully fill up some of the emtpy space that i have on it...so when i get a poll, don't think that i'm just taking your idea which originally derived from me :D
