I think the side scrolling may be eliminated if the page was set to flush left instead of centered, Im not sure though, but your right x fusion, side scrolling is bad. About my previous post. It is ironic how I felt that turfing the links would improve the site even though it is this type of feedback that we all give that really makes the difference in the end. Thumbs up to TPS, positive useful feedback, and designers that actually take the feedback it into consideration. Oh yeah, one more thing, xr650lvr, you draw that logo? Because if that reflects the work you do, skys the limit man. |

Thanks for the suggestions!!!... I'm new to the Front page thing.....so forgive me for the questions... I'm gonna try the verdana font....I know it's kinda blank, but I sorta like the simplicity of it...I have a hard time with the cell spacing and padding and blah blah blah...tables in general are tough for me........I kinda wanted it to be in the middle....When you say "side scrolling", what does that mean exactly? That you actually have to scroll the window to the left (or right) in order to see it?When testing it at 800x600 and 1024x768 It seemed to stay nice and centered...thats why I tried to keep it narrow....I didnt test it at any higher resoultion though...is that maybe the problem?? Thanks again! Jim |

Just change the table width from 110% to 100%. Also size down the fonts by 1 and it'll be just right. 4 and 3 are just too big.

Thanks Sidez..Did what you said brought it down to 100....I think I figured it out a bit...brought the font size down....Redid a couple of the pages...it seems to be lining up a bit better now....no Horizontal scrolling.....better font....thanks guys...the only thing I havent addressed is the plainess of it, but I like it simple so I'll stick with it now...thanks...Let me know if it looks better and any other comments would rule! Thanks, Jim |

it's really simple, and I guess the thing that bothers me is it seems like a template sort of layout IMO. but i suppose there isn't exactly a whole lot of innovative possiblities when it comes to content placement. the thing i dislike most is the "back" button, it just reminds me too much of homestead days, and the different pages dont' stay aligned with the banner for the "margins" i guess. but yea other than that nice job |
