just one thing. Why not, instead of making the background of the table an image, why not make it white? it would seriously cut down on the load time.
I love the splash image though

Yah, its a bit slow, dont know how much patience I would have had if I was on a modem. But on the other hand, I love your site, I dig the layout and the colors :]
