win 2000 problem

Whenever I boot in my Event Viewer in item Application log there is a message "Error, source: Perfctrs" and in properties dialog box it says "Unable to read IO control information from NBT device."
What the hell is it and what should I do?

there's some Input/Output device that doesn't work, maybe it's drivers..

other than that i can't help much cause i don't know which device is giving you the problem
