Solaris or Redhat, which do you prefer nowadays?

Solaris or Redhat, which do you prefer nowadays?

lol, what a question.
solaris of course, if you are a *nix guru.
redhat if you prefer the PITA. BTW: if you really feel the need to wear the
red hat just install CentOS, which is 100 % compatible to RH enterprise,
but is free.

in my opinion there is only one choice: slackware. install it and then lean
back and listen to debates about "gentoo or ubuntu" or laugh at suse
users...

well, i forgot, freebsd is another goodie

I have two servers with solaris 10 11/06 ,

one is the pc intel x86 and the other is a sun sparc enterprise 2.

I really love solaris now. :D:D:D

I think solaris is far superior ... If you can afford that kind of set up. Here, on our servers we use Red Hat

yes,

my friend have just given me an "ulta enterprise II" free;

he works on solaris system.

But redhat is not bad,i have a original legal 5.2 old version (3 cd disks)

which comes with the source rpm , runtime rpm & ebook bonus.
