If I have to make a choice between those two I prefer 2gb of course. In my desktop I have 4gb though... ;) |

I have the mac pro (www.apple.com/macpro). It's a double dual core machine, so I actually have 4 processors. I have 4gb of 667MHz DDR2 ECC fully buffered DIMM (FB-DIMM) memory installed, along with 1 terabyte of storage (including external storage). NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT with 256MB video card, and firewire, bluetooth, wifi etc. installed. |

If you want Vista, 1GB for any kind of speed (of course it also depends on your processor, video card and to some extent your hard drive). If you want to game on Vista, nothing less than 2GB. |

The more ram, then better, so I'd go for 2.
