Well unless you just want a prettier, fancier OS, just stick with Windows 2000.

If you just want prettier and fancier, you could always just get Litestep. http://newer.litestep.com/ |

Well I don't think the performance is any better with XP. Although it does seem to run smoother (less bog-down), I wouldn't necessarily say that it's any faster. And I haven't had it installed long enough to determine if it is any more stable. By the time the final release is here, I'm sure I'll have a definite answer for ya. |

Just Microsoft succeding at taking over the world. It's like the MSN Explorer, personalized and more customizeable. No real performance improvements.

One thing I have noticed with XP is that it starts up in under 30 seconds from the time I turn it on until it's ready for me to click on the start menu. So if you are one of those people who hates waiting 3 minutes for your computer to reboot, then XP is definitely for you. |

It's the best of both worlds. Has the feel of Previous home versions, but mixes in the stability and networking features of business versions (NT & 2000)
